The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts collection (VMFA) of French art that belonged to Paul Mellon is showing its treasures to Italy.
This exhibition celebrates Paul and Rachel Bunny's Lambert Mellon, two of the most
important and refined American bosses of the 20th Century. The exhibition organized by Colleen Yarger, department head and curator of the Mellon Collection presents a precious selection of works from the Mellon Collection of French Art at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, which covers a chronological period from the middle of the 19th Century going until the first decades of the 20th Century, passing through the extraordinary season on Impressionism.
